Luke ReeceLuke is a graduate of York University, receiving his Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree with a Major in Theatre and Minor in Creative Writing. He is a biracial storyteller, community builder and artist-educator from Mississauga. He loves engaging with young-in-craft artists that are as diverse as the community he lives in.

Luke is the Associate General Manager of Obsidian Theatre Company, Artistic Director of Little Black Afro Theatre, and co-creator of Dark Nights. Luke has been a part of the SummerWorks Leadership Intensive Program, Theatre Gargantua’s Emerging Artist Round Table, Theatre Ontario’s Youth Advisory Committee, and Watah Theatre’s Professional Arts Training Initiative (formerly the Performing Arts Training Intensive). At York University, he was the recipient of the Imasco Performing Arts Award, the Faculty of Fine Arts Opportunity Award, the President’s Creative Writing Award for his play Definition and the Robert Beardsley Award For Young Playwrights.
