Lois Adamson works as an educator and theatre administrator. Currently, she is the Director of Education at the Stratford Festival. Prior to this, she worked primarily in the Education & Participation Department at Young People’s Theatre. Lois began her career after completing her Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Arts, Honours (Queen’s University), and Master’s (Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto). Her thesis explored why teachers include live professional theatre in their educational repertoire. Lois belongs to the Professional Arts Organizations Network for Education and sits on the board for the Paprika Festival. She is a founding member of Shakespeare in the Ruff. She regularly works with a variety of organizations as a consultant and educator, and presents and writes on key issues in arts education, nationally and internationally.
