In 2015/16, Claire Hage, a Masters of Teaching student at OISE (Ontario Institute for Studies in Education), looked at the relationship between schools and Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) in Toronto using YPT’s Member Schools program as a case study.  Member Schools form a deeper relationship with YPT through a three-year partnership that includes increased attendance at the theatre, enrichment for students and teachers, as well as research with and by the participating school’s students and staff. Claire was curious about how different adult stakeholders impact children’s experiences with professional theatre. See a summary of her findings below, or access her full research paper here.
