Charity Golf Classic 2011
5th Annual Golf Classic a Success!
Celebrating its 5th year, the annual Golf Classic in support of Young People's Theatre was a tremendous success. On Monday, May 30, participants of the tournament played at the prestigious St. Andrews Valley Golf Club in Aurora, 40 minutes northeast of Toronto.
This year, we hosted and entertained 120 golfers and business leaders across various banking, financial, and law sectors. Our goal this year was to raise $65,000 which was surpassed by raising $67,320.
Before hitting the greens for the afternoon, participants enjoyed a BBQ lunch sponsored by Blakes. On-course snacks and refreshments were appreciated with in the temperatures soaring past 30! Neal Brothers Foods, our contest sponsor kept the excitement flowing throughout the day with challenging contests. IA Clarington Investments sponsored the Golf Carts and provided complimentary golf balls that came in handy with the water nuisances at 13 holes! Afterward, attendees returned to the clubhouse for cocktails, a silent auction and live auction sponsored by RPM Technologies, and an exquisite dinner sponsored by Novantas.
